Thailand Trip December 2011.
The journey there and back was an adventure in itself. We flew from Newcastle airport on Christmas day to Dubai. We then flew to Bangkok, this was on an Airbus A380 - the most enormous aircraft any of us had been on. We arrived on Boxing day and got a taxi to Hua Hin and arrived about 17:30. Euan was very well behaved for the journey.
What we got up to whilst there.
Day one - Tuesday
Well it was a bit cool to swim first thing in the morning but by lunchtime it was certainly hot enough. I think we managed a swim nearly every day.
Once we got organised we got out and about with our native guide. We went to the beach and discovered a bit of a mess. Only later did we discover that Hua Hin had been declared a disaster area because of a big
storm on Christmas day.
We then got the bus into town to All in One Hua Hin, this was to become a favourite lunch spot with excellent raspberry sorbet ice cream and milkshakes. This is when Euan had his post lunch snooze and Daddy carried him
to the tuc tuc taxi. After a short snooze we went for a swim and then out for dinner.
Day two
Euan woke up briefly during the night but then slept through to 08:00. Once we were up and organised we took a walk into town. Euan got a haircut whilst Daddy had a
beer. Mummy and Euan then joined him for lunch. Negotiated a tuc tuc home, Euanstayed awake for this.
Another hour in the pool before Daddy had to accompany Pedro to the pub. The pub being the shop at the end of the road with a couple of tables outside!
Dinner at home tonight and an early night for all.

Day three
Off for an elephant ride today, very good. Euan enjoyed talking to the pet elephant that could twirl a hoop on his trunk! Fresh pineaplle was served after the ride, very tasty.
We then returned home for a snooze before getting ready fo rthe party. This was for the residents of the village and it was a good night. Euan enjoyed it, especially paying the dancing girls.
